ALL THE WAY TO SPAIN!

With much anticipation and planning we took the leap... and landed in Spain! What a trip it turned out to be

We decided to take a chance on a Gredos Ibex for my wife, hunting with good friends of ours and luck was on our side.
All tacked up with enough warm clothes to last a snow storm we headed for the mountains and found, to our delight, horses saddled and ready for the tough climb. My wife, being a enthusiastic horse rider, was enthralled by the foresight of a whole day in the saddle.







After a long climb, four good stalks and spotting a large herd of Ibex, the right one made its appearance and thank goodness my wife got him on the first shot! She made a good shoulder shot at about 170 m with a Blazer 30.06 and dropped him right there. I have came to the conclusion that it is best not to run when my wife is angry and armed. Rather just stay arms length and apologise!

We had a great hunt and a good experience. Thank you to everyone that made possible. We are looking forward to a good year of Namibian Hunting.
