HUNT & ETOSHA TOUR

After you have had a satisfying safari we will start the Etosha tour. This tour is specially for the hunter who want to experience Namibia as it was before human intervention. You will see more animals on this tour than what you think possible. Unfortuanitely hunting is forbidden in Etosha and you will have to pass on the huge Eland bulls, Elephants and Rhinos you see daily. But be sure that it will be worth it! Etosha is a true wildlife paradise and we recommend all hunters to visit Etosha at least once in their life. You will not be dissapointed.

HUNT & ETOSHA: DAY 1

On the first day of your Etosha tour we will have a early breakfast and leave for the north of Namibia. This will be a four hour drive and we will pass through two small towns before we reach our destination. We will be staying in the Okaukojo camp, which is the most popular camp in Etosha.

You will be accommodated in a bungalow facing a waterhole and all meals will be served in the spelendid restuarant in the camp. The camp has a high, electrical fence around and is very safe. All the animals are attracted to the waterhole in front of the camp and they are not disturbed by the spectators. You will see herds of elephants, springbuck and maby, if you are lucky, even black rhino’s fighting at night.

During the day we will drive around the park with our vehicle and see all the animals in their natural environment. Hear lions roar at night and withness them moving around camp while you reside in luxury. Etosha is the largest National Park in Namibia, covering an area of 22 270 square kilometers. Its home to many endagered and threatened animals. Etosha is home to all the big five, except the buffalo.

After which there will be time for a siesta, followed by coffee and cake at the restaurant and a late afternoon game drive. The game drive will take about 2 to 3 hours and includes a professional guide, snacks and refreshments. You will definitely see a lot of animals.
The next morning we will have a nice breakfast and an early game drive, to catch those you didn’t see the previous day.

HUNT & ETOSHA: DAY 2

After a good night rest we will have a hearty breakfast and explore another part of Etosha until lunch. We will then pack our bags and leave for the West
of Namibia, to the coast. It will take us approximately five hours to complete the drive from Etosha to Swakopmund and we will be driving through parts of Damaraland and the Namib Desert.

Once at the coast we will be accommodated in The Stiltz for the night and enjoy some exclusive cuisine in one of the restuarants in Swakopmund. You will not hear lions at night anymore, but the sound of the waves and the cool night breeze will be just as good.

HUNT & ETOSHA: DAY 3

The next day will be spent exploring Swakop and the surrounding towns, doing some shopping and cruising the dunes endemic to the coast.

Swakopmund caters for a lot of activities such as fishing, dune boarding, camel riding, quad bike exploring or visiting the Museum, Aquarium or Crystal Gallery.

The choice of activity is solely yours and we will do our best to cater for your needs and whishes. Swakopmund is a beach resort and an example of the German colonial architecture. It was founded in 1982 as the main harbour for German South West Africa and a sizable part of its population are still German speaking today. Outside the city lies the Rossmund Desert Dune Course which is one of only five all-grass desert golf courses in the world. The city is known for sky-diving and extreme sports.

HUNT & ETOSHA: DAY 4

A final farewell to Swakop as we leave early morning, after breakfast, for Sossusvlei. It will take us about five hours to reach Sossusvlei and we will be just in time for lunch.

We will reside in Desert Homestead for the night, a cosy, well kept lodge that is just 35km south-west of Sossusvlei. Desert Homestead caters for a lot of activities including a guided dune tour, horseback dune tour and a helicopter ride over the dunes. All are done in the early morning or late afternoon to catch the day at its most spectacular.

We will, as planned, tour the dunes with our own vehicle, but the option of doing more are solely yours. Lunch and Dinner are served at the lodge and you will be accommodated in a luxury double room with an en-site bathrooms. Sossusvlei is the place you will find the largest dunes in the world, some are even 200 meter high.

The area are characterized by huge sand dunes of vivid pink-to-orange color. Nobody can describe how big and magnificent a desert dune can be, until you stand beneath one and feel like a dwarf. Sossusvlei are a picture-perfect destination.

HUNT & ETOSHA: DAY 5

Unfortunately all good things come to an end and we will be heading back to Windhoek to catch your plane. The drive from Sossusvlei to Windhoek will take us about 6 hours and if we leave after breakfast and your plane doesn’t depart too soon, you will be able to do some last minute shop before you leave.

The route from Sossusvlei to Windhoek will be through the desert, another splendid drive with a lot of contras.
